When Brown Cow Organics decided to re-design their yoghurt pot labels they turned first to their customers.
Conducting a survey, Brown Cow asked consumers’ for opinions on everything from colours right through to information they wanted on pack.
Judith Freane owner of Brown Cow Organics said: “This was absolutely the right thing to do, we launched the survey through our customer newsletter and social media and were delighted at the response.
“The answers were paramount in helping us decide the next generation of Brown Cow Organics yoghurt label content and design.”
Their 155g live organic yoghurts with the new labels, incorporating their ‘brown cow’ logo (saying goodbye to the orange) and exploding with fruit images hit retailer shelves this week.
The 500g pot new design labels are launching in entirety late summer – whilst the 500g Natural new design should be available within weeks.
The new labels give nutritional breakdown, gluten (all Gluten free), vegetarian and health information, Organic accreditation, local and British artisan family producer provenance, animal welfare and packaging recycling information.
For even more information a QR code is on pack to take consumers direct to the Brown Cow Organics website – “it’s like a mini tour of our farm on pack” said Judith.
All Brown Cow Organics yoghurts are hand processed using their Guernsey herd born, bred and grazed organic A2 beta casein rich protein whole milk.
Ingredients are totally natural, non-homogenised, contain only 5% fat (milk) and are rich in Omega 3s and other trace elements.
This artisan process produces naturally thick rich yoghurt without any added emulsifiers or thickeners and the yoghurt is then hand poured into recyclable re-usable pots and lids – in keeping with their packaging ethos.
Their re-sealable, re-usable packaging is a firm favourite with customers who after eating the live organic yoghurt use them to store or freeze leftovers, gravy, jellies, soups.
Judith Freane said: “our new labels have real shelf presence, with ‘jump out’ flavour imagery easily visible to our customers and we are especially proud to have met the majority of customer voted wants within the design.”
