Tuaca Liqueur recently launched a new designed, limited-edition package featuring a unique thermochromatic ink printed on the bottle to highlight the perfect “chilled” serving temperature.
The vanilla citrus liqueur bottle features a custom sketch of the historic Tuaca Lion designed by celebrity tattoo artist Corey Miller, whose signature also adorns the bottle. The tattoo design is printed with thermochromatic ink that changes color when temperatures increase or decrease.
As the bottle chills in a freezer or on ice, the tattooed lion turns from its room temperature light silver color to blue. This not only helps consumers know when the liqueur’s perfect chilled serving temperature has been reached, but the color change also works as a promotional tool with its eye-catching feature.
The tattoo lion sketch on the bottle represents the rich history of Tuaca. The lion is in reference to the historic guardians of architecture seen throughout Florence, Italy, where Tuaca originates.
In addition, the tattoo lion is an extension of another lion symbol that features at the bottom of the vertical front-facing label of the package, as well as just beneath the glass bottle neck, in the form of the Tuaca crest
