East Yorkshire-based Crans-wick Pet Products has converted all of its 60 products from paper sacks to Paperfeel, a triple-layer PE film that is strong and moisture-resistant like plastic, but has the feel and print quality of paper. “The triple layers can be different colours,” explains Paperfeel’s Geoff Southwell. “Smooth, rough, matt or gloss finishes are possible and a range of external textures can be created, such as a paper or parchment feel. Laminates can also be applied externally to protect printing, and barriers can be incor-porated to exclude odours or moisture.
