Primo Water Corporation Selects Rieke Packaging Systems
The Rieke pump dispensers work in conjunction with Primo’s Sparkling Beverage Mix bottles to produce great-tasting, zero-mess beverages every time in the home or at the office.
Dec 13 2011 --- Primo Water Corporation, a leading producer of innovative beverage solutions, announces the selection of Rieke Packaging Systems to provide its RS-10 pump dispensers for the Primo Sparkling Beverage Mixes, part of the new Primo Flavorstation.
Primo Flavorstation is a home carbonated beverage system providing patented, single serve, 100 percent naturally flavored beverages. Primo Sparkling Beverage Mixes enable consumers to create an entire case (equaling 24 cans) of soda or sparkling beverages with just one bottle of ultra-concentrated mix. The Rieke pump dispensers work in conjunction with Primo’s Sparkling Beverage Mix bottles to produce great-tasting, zero-mess beverages every time in the home or at the office. Primo’s line of more than a dozen Sparkling Beverage Mixes can be used with Primo Flavorstation.
“Early in the development of Primo Flavorstation, we made a commitment to create better tasting flavors that were easier to use than any other products on the market,” said Billy Prim, CEO of Primo Water Corporation. “The use of the Rieke pump will ensure our customers enjoy the same delicious, refreshing beverage on a regular basis.”
Until now, consumers did not have a consistent, zero-mess way to make their favorite sodas and sparkling beverages at home. Primo Flavorstation transforms Primo Water or filtered water into crisp, refreshing sparkling water. From there, consumers can make their favorite sodas and sparkling beverages to their desired taste. The Rieke Pump dispenser attaches easily to the Primo Sparkling Beverage Mix bottle. Consumers pump three times for a 16.9 fluid ounce container or six times for a one-liter sparkling water bottle.
“As the global leader in food and beverage dispensing pumps, Rieke Packaging Systems is thrilled to partner with Primo for the production of Primo Flavorstation. Consumers will recognize the Primo Flavorstation advantage of using Rieke’s accurate dosing pumps versus standard pouring methods to create drinks with great flavor time and time again and no mess,” said Bill Heimach, Director of Sales for Rieke’s Dispensing Group.
The Flavorstation will also bring convenience to the homes of millions of Americans who dispose of numerous soft drink cans/bottles daily. Primo is hoping to save consumers room in their refrigerators and eliminate the need to tote 2-liters and cases of soda and other beverages from the grocery store.
“Consumers told us repeatedly that customization and consistency is the key to home beverage making,” commented John Maples, chief marketing officer for Primo Water. “We want to change the way people consume beverages. We’ve done that with our innovative bottom loading water dispensers. Now, we want to change the way people consume sparkling beverages. The Primo Flavorstation makes it an easy, enjoyable experience and our Sparkling Beverage Mixes are better for the consumer and better for the environment.”
