A limited-edition luminous bottle produced by Rexam is the innovative solution to catching the eye of whisky drinkers in France. Brand owner Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky business of Pernod Ricard, wanted a new slant for their popular blended Scotch Whisky Clan Campbell to boost its presence in trendy bars on the continent. Clan Campbell is now available in a limited edition black coated clear bottle with a uv-reactive label, which glows when placed in a subdued-lit area. The product, being piloted in French nightclubs this winter, complements the established green glass bottle of Clan Campbell which continues to sell over 18 million bottles a year worldwide. Brand owner Chivas Brothers wanted to add a new look for the popular brand of whisky favoured by under thirties in trendy French bars with this specific run of 126,000 bottles. Inside the product remains the same but Rexam is hoping the new bottle design will prove to be the obvious choice for drinkers. The bottle is now spray coated and then labeled with the luminous moon and mountain logo to entice customers whilst at the bar. Commented Chivas Brothers: "In manufacturing the new luminous bottle Rexam Glass has allowed Chivas Brothers to strengthen Clan Campbell as the preferred choice for whisky drinkers and as an innovative brand amongst clients and consumers." Commented Phil Hall from Decorative Services at Rexam Glass Barnsley: "Clan Campbell is an established brand of blended Scotch Whisky in the French market, both in the on-trade and off-trade and we were delighted that we could help Chivas Brothers in providing the ideal solution to make this product stand out to customers." The new bottle design will go on sale exclusively in France and will be aimed at bars and night clubs where sharing bottles of whisky is popular with groups of friends. The limited edition Clan Campbell luminous bottles are also available in grocery stores.
