Rieke Targets Food Sector for Further Growth
Rieke Packaging Systems has introduced a new range of closures for the European food industry. Rieke is using its existing strong market position in dispensers for food applications to build a presence in this sector.
Rieke Packaging Systems has introduced a new range of closures for the European food industry.Rieke is using its existing strong market position in dispensers for food applications to build a presence in this sector. The wide selection of closures includes screw caps for plastic and glass jars, and flip-top closures. In addition, the company can offer complementary specialist products such as plastic food scoops and customised moulding.
Typical applications include spreads, nutraceuticals and convenience foods. Rieke says it has already received a number of orders for 63mm and 70mm closures for several leading brands in Europe.
The closures will initially be supplied by Rieke’s specialist company, Innovative Molding in the USA, which was acquired in 2011.The future intention is to establish a European manufacturing base to provide localised supply as the business grows.
“We already know the European food market extremely well through our vast range of dispensers, and we recognise there are many additional opportunities to be pursued for closures,” explains Paul Blankert, Rieke’s European Sales and Marketing Director.
“With Innovative Molding we have the in-depth knowledge and experience to meet these needs and we are delighted to be bringing this expertise to the European market.”
