Stora Enso Launches Ensocoat Board for High-End Packaging
The development of new Ensocoat shows our strengthened focus and dedication to the highest end usage of packaging, such as cosmetics, perfumes and exclusive chocolate, wine and spirit brands.
28 Jan 2010 --- Stora Enso is launching new Ensocoat board for high-end packaging and graphical applications. The board is produced according to a new recipe that provides improved smoothness and visual appearance.
“The development of new Ensocoat shows our strengthened focus and dedication to the highest end usage of packaging, such as cosmetics, perfumes and exclusive chocolate, wine and spirit brands. Ensocoat used to be the challenger in these segments, but now we are reaching for the top,” says Hervé Vue, Sales Director France, Stora Enso Carton Board.
“In a tough economic situation, brand owners are looking for new options. We have responded to this demand by putting all our effort into the development of new Ensocoat. We are pleased with the results and enthusiastic about going to the market with the product,” Mr Vue explains. The development project started in early 2009. In parallel with the trial runs on the board machine, printing trials were conducted in close cooperation with leading high-end package converters and graphical board customers representing different printing techniques and end uses. The results and the customers’ comments have been solely positive.
Ensocoat 2S replacing Ensogloss
“We are thrilled to present the new Ensocoat,” says Jonas Pettersson, who was recently appointed Sales Director, Stora Enso Graphical Board Europe. “The introduction of Ensocoat 2S in place of the former Ensogloss will strengthen the brand and highlight the uniqueness of the new quality as the industry benchmark. A tribute to perfection, just as our new Ensocoat slogan says.”
In order to cater for the specific needs of the graphical business and other vital market segments, Stora Enso has a network of Service Centres in Europe which guaranteed board availability and smooth service also through the change period. The Service Centres are set in central locations and offer efficient logistics and high performance sheeting machinery.
Ensocoat also has a new logo and the launch is backed up by a marketing campaign featuring images by the world-renowned photographer Andrea Klarin.
