Tetra Pak CPS Going From Strength To Strength
After a hugely successful 2008 Tetra Pak CPS, a leading UK provider of quality capital equipment and turnkey systems, has just celebrated its tenth anniversary at its site in Sherborne and is confident of meeting the challenges ahead.
Since moving to the purpose built factory back in 1998 the company has gone from strength to strength. Despite the testing economic climate, Tetra Pak CPS has already secured an exciting £6.6 million project for 2009 in partnership with its US sister company. This follows hot on the heels of a £2.8 million plant relocation project, which stems from a long-term partnership with a major European chilled food producer, having previously carried out a £2 million process improvement project for the same company.
Other key projects that Tetra Pak CPS has successfully completed are refurbishment of a dairy for The Processing Dairy Leckford, the removal and relocation of a process plant for a global provider in the desserts and confectionery fields and an installation of a yoghurt plant for Yeo Valley.
Tetra Pak CPS has been applauded for its total professionalism, along with quality design of equipment and high levels of workmanship, which is recognised nationwide. The company has built up its reputation based on its impressive value for money, versatility, level of expertise and 'down to earth' approach from its employees.
Tetra Pak CPS is dedicated to investing for the future and offers yearly craft apprenticeships. In the last 10 years over 20 apprentices have qualified in conjunction with training from the local college. In addition 25 employees have achieved IOSH-SPA Health and Safety Passports and the company has also gained SAFEcontractor certification.
Tetra Pak CPS has maintained its accreditation to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System since 1992 and has recently been recommended by SGS for accreditation to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Commenting on what is in store for Tetra Pak CPS, the company’s Dairy, Food & Beverage Division Manager, Graham Witt said: “Last year the company began its initiation of a World Class Manufacturing programme, which is an extremely positive move for the future. Whilst many other organisations are shying away from long term investments we believe that investment and training is key to coming out of the current economic storm in an even stronger position."
