Thermoforming with pre-printing offers all-over visual impact for brands
An attractive pre-printed decoration technique, now available from RPC.
20/03/06 Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes, has enabled a number of dairy and meat brands to enhance the visual impact of their packaging. The process involves printing the sheet prior to thermoforming, enabling the optimisation of the printable area for all-over visual impact. Elvir, part of the Bongrain group, has taken advantage of this property with a pre-printed lid for its Elle & Vire extra-light cream. The lid design features eye-catching blue edging around the rim to create the impression of ‘lightness’ appropriate to the product.
Bongrain is now applying the pre-printed technology to other products. RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes has also produced a pre-printed lid design for pâtés and potted meats manufacturer Luissier Bordeau Chesnel. As part of the relaunch of the company’s speciality range, RPC has supplied an all-black lid with glitter finish for the product, "Rillettes de Poulet Rôti," to complement the IML pot for a vivid on-shelf effect.
