‘Unique’ tilting mechanism allows versatile confectionery bagging

The Breezy Bagger is also able to detect the length of the product being packed to avoid waste.
Kimberly Brown, sales & marketing administrator at Paxiom said: “We believe that this bagger will have a major impact on the confectionery industry. This machine can bag anything from chocolate balls to full length licorice.”
Vertical and horizontal
The tilting mechanism allows it to operate both vertically or horizontally.
The company said in a statement: “The key word is extreme versatility. In the horizontal position it can wrap products in a tray much like a horizontal flow-wrapper….In the vertical position the Breezy Bagger as an example can bag an individual baked dinner roll to a full length baguette.”
Automatically adjusts to product size
The machine also includes a feature that enables it to self-adjust to product length automatically, thus cutting down on waste materials.
It will automatically adjust bag width can be adjusted from 2 inches wide to almost 12 inches and length from 2 to 36 inches, depending on the size of the product.
Operation and features
The machine can be fed either by hand or automatically and uses either laminated or polyethylene material for wrapping.
It comes with a HMI color touch screen and is powered by servo technology. A foot pedal and auto cycling are provided

Pack speed and cost
The bagger can pack up to 30 packs per minute and Paxoim claims the machine is “relatively inexpensive”.
“An end user can achieve a quick return on investment by using roll stock instead of pre made bags,” said the firm.
