Vodka brand ABSOLUT is launching its latest limited edition bottle – ABSOLUT LONDON – in collaboration with Jamie Hewlett, one of the UK’s leading graphics artists.
The bottle will be launched in Selfridges and Harvey Nichols on 1 March at an RRP of £20.99, and from 22 March, fifty ABSOLUT LONDON collectors’ gift packs will be available to fans exclusively through the ABSOLUT UK Facebook page. The unique bottle will then be available to the wider on- and off-trade from April at an RRP of £17.89.
The limited edition is a unique take on London’s style and fashion pioneers over the past 200 years. Set against a backdrop of the city, the bottle introduces key characters from the past who have influenced and shaped London’s culture. The seven characters represent the city’s diverse heritage, spanning the ages from Dickensian and 18th Century Dandy, through to Pinstripe Gent, 60’s Chick, SKA, Punk and 80’s ‘Casual’.
Jamie Hewlett says, “London has such a fascinating and rich history which has inspired me over the years. For ABSOLUT London I chose to re-create seven iconic characters from different eras who are largely defined by their style as well as their impactful contribution to London’s culture at the time.”
ABSOLUT LONDON is the latest in a series of limited edition bottles that reflect the brand’s ambition to ‘transcend the conventional to create the exceptional’, and is the newest edition – and first European city – to be honoured in the ABSOLUT ‘Cities’ collection.
To support the launch, the brand will be introducing an integrated digital campaign and exclusive ABSOLUT BLOODY LONDON serve.
