Heinz has introduced the Heinz Dipper, a “first-of-its-kind” fry box featuring a built-in ketchup compartment designed for effortless on-the-go dipping. The concept will debut at participating restaurants and sports stadiums, rolling out across more than 20 locations in 11 countries.
According to the company, many ketchup and fry consumers report spilling ketchup when eating on-the-go, with some saying poor dip-friendly packaging has made them consider skipping condiments entirely.
The patent-pending innovation makes mess-free dipping possible in busy settings, reducing spilling ketchup when away from the table.
Nina Patel, vice president, Global Heinz Brand at the Kraft Heinz Company, says: “After spotlighting the uncanny resemblance between fry boxes and our iconic Heinz Keystone globally, we wanted to take the next bold step: redesigning the age-old fry box to work even harder for our Heinz lovers everywhere.”
“As more eating occasions happen away from home in drive-thrus and on-the-go moments, the Heinz Dipper is a fun and relevant way to innovate to meet fans where they are and strengthen our role in their everyday lives.”
Intuitive design
The Heinz Dipper will debut in six cities within the US, and ten other countries, including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Philippines, Thailand, China, and Kuwait.
