ClearBags reviews spring packs for multi-application products

28 Mar 2023 --- ClearBags is reviewing this year’s spring packaging to discuss color themes and facilitated packaging usage. Spring packaging includes items like themed and shaped pouches, simple box bottoms and daily flap seal bags and heat seal bags.

The pouches all feature a bottom gusset that expands to hold more product and allows the bag to stand up on its own on display shelves and in gift baskets.

The company says many of its pouches have a zipper to reseal the product when needed and can be heat-sealed closed. The rainbow, speckled or plaid pouches are used for spring holiday goodies and gifts, such as popcorn, candy, cookies, Easter eggs and craft kits.

Box bottoms come in various colors and sizes and are often used for packaging greeting cards and custom-made cookies. All of ClearBags’ box bottoms are made of food-safe paper to package any goodies or treats.

This year’s spring packaging trends include ClearBags Crystal Clear Flap Seal bags and Flat Heat Seal Bags. The bags can hold fun kits, crafts, custom cookies, candy and cards, says the company.

Crystal Clear Flap Seal bags are easy to load and seal for large quantity packaging projects, while Flat Heat Seal bags are made to keep food items fresher and longer with the help of a heat sealer, explains the company. Both clear bag options are made of Crystal Clear Biaxially-Oriented PP to display the items inside.

ClearBags Iridescent Boxes 
Last week, ClearBags launched two new packaging lines, creative iridescent colored boxes in various sizes and home compostable child resistant bags. These two new lines expand existing product lines to push for more “unique” and sustainable packaging options. 

Made of food-safe, high-density PET material with an iridescent finish, ClearBags Iridescent Boxes can hold baked goods, candles, crafts, pet supplies, ornaments, cocoa bombs and cosmetics. Home compostable child resistant stand up pouches are ASTM-certified child-resistant and are a suitable packaging solution for dispensaries or pharmacies. The home compostable stand-up pouches are made from a proprietary blend of materials that are food-safe, heat sealable and can safely package edibles, pills, medicinal herbs, infused products and pharmaceuticals. 

In another development, ProAmpac and FirstWave Innovations launched aseptic spouted pouches for baby food, fruit smoothies, coffee and spreads. The technology enables greater manufacturing flexibility for small, custom batches of shelf-stable food packages, ideal for new launches.
