01/08/05 The United States, Diet Rite, the original diet soft drink and the first nationally distributed diet soft drink to be sweetened with SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener, has transformed its look and added Pure Zero to its graphics to better communicate the brand's strong point of difference -- the only soft drink brand that offers zero calories, zero carbs, zero caffeine, and zero sodium in a wide variety of flavors. The new packaging will be available in stores nationwide by August 27, 2005.

Diet Rite was introduced by the Royal Crown Co. in 1958 as the first diet soft drink. With this revolutionary introduction, calorie conscious soft drink lovers were finally given a great-tasting choice consistent with their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
