Diet Rite gets new look
Adds Pure Zero to its packaging to better communicate the brand's strong point of difference.
01/08/05 The United States, Diet Rite, the original diet soft drink and the first nationally distributed diet soft drink to be sweetened with SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener, has transformed its look and added Pure Zero to its graphics to better communicate the brand's strong point of difference -- the only soft drink brand that offers zero calories, zero carbs, zero caffeine, and zero sodium in a wide variety of flavors. The new packaging will be available in stores nationwide by August 27, 2005.
Diet Rite was introduced by the Royal Crown Co. in 1958 as the first diet soft drink. With this revolutionary introduction, calorie conscious soft drink lovers were finally given a great-tasting choice consistent with their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
Diet Rite has continued to lead innovation in the diet category with the introduction of unique and delicious flavor extensions including Red Raspberry, Tangerine, White Grape, Kiwi Strawberry, Black Cherry and Golden Peach.
In 2000 Diet Rite became the first major carbonated soft drink brand to use SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener.
Diet Rite is committed to women's health and wellness and has undertaken a number of initiatives to advance important issues and celebrate women, including sponsoring Oprah's Live Your Best Life Tour in 2005 as well as forming groundbreaking partnerships with both the American Diabetes Association and Speaking of Women's Health.
