Mettler Toledo has provided their customer, a German Cheese Producer, an ideal solution in controlling the cultivation of starter culture in fermentation reactors. The Cheese Producer’s factory is certified in accordance with the internationally recognised standards DIN EN ISO 9001, American Institute of Baking, British Retail Consortium and International Food Standard.
Previously, the German Cheese Producers carried out their pH measurements using electrodes made of glass. This caused a risk of breakage, which classified the glass electrodes as CCP according to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Mettler Toledo provided the InPro 3300 Glass-Free Sensor solution, an ISFET-type sensor which consists of no glass. Instead, the InPro 3300 pH Sensors features a microchip and a body made from PEEK material, which is approved by the FDA for food conduct. The InPro 3300 ISFET-type sensors are compliant with HACCP and are suitable for ph measurement tasks in food processing operations without the fear of glass breakage.
The InPro 3300 ISFET-type pH Sensors, from Mettler Toledo, can be used to perform inline ph measurements in pipes, vessels and fermentation reactors.
