Gerresheimer at Brau Beviale 2006 in Nuremberg
As a direct communicator of value to the consumer, glass packaging is simply unbeatable – not to mention the complete protection which it offers for the contents, unlike many other packaging materials.
25/11/2006 An eye-catching range of high-quality glass packaging is presented by the Gerresheimer Group at this year’s Brau Beviale, which is being held from 15 to 17 November in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. Tasteful miniatures, bottles and jars give an impression of the varied ways in which an enjoyable product can develop a distinctive character while still on the shelf. Manufacturers of spirits and other beverages will find plenty to interest them here – and for specialty segments of the food industry a visit is also very worthwhile (Hall 3, Stand 3-406).
In addition to the predominant Gerresheimer business of pharmaceutical glass packaging and high-calibre glass design for cosmetics, the beverage and food sector forms a smaller but equally sophisticated area of competence in the Group’s operations. “We concentrate primarily on highly marketing-oriented segments of this market,” says Burkhard Lingenberg, Director of Corporate PR and Marketing for the Gerresheimer Group. “As a direct communicator of value to the consumer, glass packaging is simply unbeatable – not to mention the complete protection which it offers for the contents, unlike many other packaging materials.” In Nuremberg visitors can see the latest highlights in parallel with eternally youthful classics which have made marketing history. The presentation provides a cross-section of the Group’s attractive and carefully designed range with a multitude of variation possibilities.
In addition to the standard range, which stimulates the appetite with approximately 60 basic shapes in more than 500 variants, individually customised developments are offered. Gerresheimer has at its disposal all the relevant production processes and all the methods for individual finishing. The spectrum ranges from the smallest five-millilitre miniature to large three-litre containers. Options include relief-type texturing of the glass, acid etching and direct printing. In addition to transparent flint and amber glass the Group can on request produce feeder-coloured glass in a very wide range of hues as well as opaque opal glass which provides additional light protection, now not only in snow white but also in a special creamy-coloured variant displayed by Gerresheimer at the trade fair under the new OpalNuance brand name.
Detailed information about the multi-facetted range is also available on the Internet, where the full catalogue can be examined, including spirit miniatures, spirit and beverage bottles (with an exceptionally wide range of bottles with swing stopper), glass packaging of widely varying types for the food industry and various attractive specialties. Under this can all be found in a carefully ordered way together with complete technical details ready for downloading.
