The Albiate (Milan) headquartered company Giurgola Stampi has recently released a new series of high-quality moulds which offer outstanding results in terms of precision and production speed for the manufacture of drink caps.
The new Giurgola moulds are easy to install and are designed for production on a hot fill HDPE line. They are capable of producing 38mm caps and running at a remarkable pace production of 6 seconds for 32 cavities, nearly 320 caps per minute.
They occupy little space compared with other precision moulds (546x796x647) and are made from some of the best materials available for moulding today. The main core is made of hardened steel and beryllium copper for the threaded insert, while the S-fast slide system is hardened steel, offering a fast and precise 4-sector slide.
“When, as Giurgola Stampi, we presented this new mould series at PLAST ’97 (Milan) it was immediately a success,” Mr Lino Pastore, sales director at Giurgola Stampi said. “The moulds are specifically conceived for the production of caps for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The key point of this product is its reliability and the enormous advantage in terms of cost saving as regards maintenance, material and space.”
Giurgola Stampi was created in the early 80's based on a long-term experience in engineering and production of plastic moulds. In the last 15 years it has oriented its production towards injection moulding technology for big series, manufacturing of caps, capsules, dispensers and any form of threaded closures.
