Huhtamaki Launches 'Green' Pint Tumblers
The standard range is manufactured from rPET, while the BioWare line is made from crack-resistant polylactic acid (PLA) that will compost within 60 days in an industrial composter.
14/05/09 Global consumer and specialty packaging company Huhtamaki is targeting the outdoor events market with its new "green" range of plastic pint and half-pint tumblers.
The standard range is manufactured from rPET, while the BioWare line is made from crack-resistant polylactic acid (PLA) that will compost within 60 days in an industrial composter.
The tumblers are available in two versions; one with a line indicating the pint level and a second version that has to be filled to the brim.
The range is manufactured in the UK and is complemented by Huhtamaki's Strongholder carry trays, which can hold up to four of the tumblers at one time.
Huhtamaki has four operations in the UK in Gosport in Hampshire and Portadown, Lisburn and Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
