Körber Medipak subsidiaries, Dividella AG, based in Switzerland, and MediSeal GmbH, headquartered in Germany, have launched their new NeoTOP 804 top load line and PUMA300 line respectively.
Dividella NeoTOP packs, which have been on the market for around five years, provide an optimal solution for many different customer requirements and in their various configurations are suitable for packaging parenteral forms of administration such as ampoules, syringes, pens and vials, as well as inhalers, sprays, pouches, tablet blisters and other applicators. The re-sealable top-loading/top-opening packs combine a highly visible product arrangement, simple removal and user-friendly presentation. Sub-divisions in the pack secure and protect the individual items. The technical concept of the NeoTOP 804 fully meets the requirements of many customers who wish to stack multiple products in the same pack.
Dividella's new NeoTOP 804 in Triple Mode packages pre-filled syringes, vials and an insert inside a combi-pack. Tamper evidence is guaranteed by the box’s opening mechanism itself. One of the most difficult tasks involves transporting the items (syringes, vials, pens, etc.) in a protective, flexible way. In this area Dividella has a wide range of tried-and-tested feed technologies available.
To be able to package individual products flexibly and economically, the concept of the NeoTOP 804 has been enhanced by Triple Mode configuration. This unique enhancement enables highly flexible operation, as the NeoTOP 804 can be operated in either Single Mode or Triple Mode. The NeoTOP 804 has been specifically designed for such applications, for which a high degree of flexibility is required and where particularly high output has to be achieved.
Körber Medipak's Simone Steiner told Packaging Europe: "The product is aimed at the top pharmaceutical companies, and especially suited to parenteral products. The Triple Mode functionality, offering a capacity of 240 packs per minute, is proving very attractive to high end users."
MediSeal PUMA300: compact and flexible
Meanwhile, the blister line specialist MediSeal has just launched its PUMA300 line, exhibited for the first time at Emballage last month. MediSeal describes the PUMA300 as a blister line 'which combines maximum efficiency with outstanding flexibility and future-proofing'. The product's name is an acronym deriving from its USPs of 'Product excellence', 'Upgradeability', 'Modularity' and 'Adaptability'.
According to Simone Steiner, PUMA300 represents an "intelligent entry- level solution. The idea was to provide customers with a product to start with, which offers the flexibility to upgrade easily as production needs evolve."
Consistent application of servo technology in PUMA300 minimises the number of format parts. This reduces life cycle costs and hence production costs. This is achieved by quick format changes, high levels of machine availability and lower format part costs. In addition, MediSeal's consistent servo technology concept considerably reduces the number of mechanical wearing parts and hence maintenance costs.
Furthermore, MediSeal points out that the PUMA300 is the only machine on the market which can be supplied as standard with plate or roller sealing, or as a combined machine.
