A German confectionery company, Mimi’s Garden, has launched a new range of organic energy treats made from sun-ripened dates and uses Futamura’s renewable and compostable NatureFlex™ film in its packaging. Rich in vitamins and nutrients, the 100% organic, vegan and gluten-free energy balls are available in three different flavors: Raspberry & Chia; Mango & Coco; and Cacao & Hemp Seeds with Reishi. Mimi’s Garden chose NatureFlex film for its packaging because it complements their ethical values; being made from independently FSCTM or PEFCTM certified, renewable and home compostable cellulose (wood pulp), while offering excellent barrier protection against Mineral Oil (MOSH/MOAH), aroma and moisture.
Ms Trockels, founder at Mimi’s Garden said: “Our aim is to create a sustainable product in many senses. For they it was important to not only select high quality organic ingredients, but to pack it in an environmental friendly way as well. We feel that nowadays, consumers as well as supermarkets pay more attention to these standards when making their purchasing decision.” From 15-18 February 2017 Mimi´s Garden welcomes you at their stand No.9/9-311 at Biofach exhibition in Nurnberg, where they will present their new product range to a greater public. From 4-10 May 2017 Futamura welcomes you to visit them at Hall 9 Stand 9F05 at interpack, Messe Dusseldorf.
