The innovation team at Ammeraal Beltech are ready with a new belting product, the uni ULB Belt (Ultra Light Belt), which combines exceptional light weight with strength and cost savings. Launched appropriately at IPPE 2015, the premium-quality plastic uni ULB Belt has been developed to deliver versatility and functionality across a variety of markets – particularly food processing. It combines food safety, hygiene, easy maintenance, and easy cleaning features with power and energy savings, thanks to its light weight, as well as competitive pricing.
‘An all-round solution’
Ammeraal Beltech are global providers of belting systems for a variety of industries, and have an established expert reputation in the broad food industry. Giuseppe Allais, the company’s Food Industry Segment Manager, explains the thinking behind the new uni ULB Belt: ‘We wanted to create an all-round economical solution for light- to medium-duty applications, particularly in foods, and especially where hygiene and ease of cleaning are important. I’m thinking in particular of raw foods – especially poultry and fish – as well as sandwiches and ready meals, French fries, and packaged salads. Our best-of-class, much praised pin/hinge belt structure is ideal here: it’s easy to remove and reuse, making maintenance much easier, and its light weight also makes handling much less labor-intensive! The uni ULB Belt is also very well suited to non-food packaging, wherever moderate speeds and low-impact processing are the requirement. This is really a true multi-purpose product, at an attractive price, and it’s unique and innovative in the market.’
Shared accessories and add-on options
As part of Ammeraal Beltech’s established uni belting range, the uni ULB Belt is compatible with a wide range of pre-existing accessories including fligths, sideguards and sprockets. It can be combined with the extremely successful Pop-up Flights - these patent pending carriers support the product as it moves up the elevator and, once the product is successfully discharged, pop down again so a scraper can clean the belt.
