Nutribén® been removed materials containing BPA in the making of Jars®. Bisphenol A (also known as BPA) is used in the manufacture of some plastic food containers as returnable beverage bottles, baby bottles, tableware (plates and cups) and containers.
EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) is evaluating BPA incidence in material intended to come into contact with foods. The opinion has not yet been issued. Countries like France have banned the use of BPA. Although in Spain is currently allowed, Nutribén® has decide to remove it, taking on the cost involved.
