Pack Expo 2023: TNA Solutions to exhibit the “Perfect Pair” for food production
30 Aug 2023 --- Australian food processing and packaging solutions provider TNA Solutions has crafted the “Perfect Pair” solution to be displayed at Pack Expo 2023 from September 11-13. The Tna Robag 3e and Tna Auto-splice 3 form part of the concept and are described as “the ideal solution for the US snack producers.”
“In the US market, TNA’s Perfect Pair assists food producers in enhancing efficiencies and bolstering [environmental] sustainability,” Bindu Panicker, brand and corporate communications manager at TNA Solutions, tells Packaging Insights.
The machines reportedly allow snack producers to produce up to 2,800 more bags per line per day.
The Tna Robag 3e vertical form fill and seal packaging system is outfitted with intuitive power-saving software, delivering energy savings of up to 20%. Furthermore, the autosplicer features a new CXE integrated display controller and automatic film splicing, resulting in up to 5% increase in production uptime.
Other machines on display include the TNA Intelli-flav OMS 5.1 on-machine seasoning system, the TNA Roflo HM 3 high-performance food conveyor system and TNA’s virtual reality capabilities through an immersive virtual factory experience.
“At Pack Expo Las Vegas, TNA anticipates several key packaging trends to be prominent and to drive innovations on the market,” says Panicker.
Discerning trends
TNA identifies environmental sustainability, efficiency, flexibility and digitalization as the packaging trends to look out for at the trade show.
“Foremost, sustainability stands out as an established trend, driven by multiple factors,” elaborates Panicker.
She details that energy efficiency and cost savings propel manufacturers toward greener initiatives, enabling ecological responsibility and economic benefits.
“The burgeoning consumer awareness around environmental concerns means brands are under pressure to adopt sustainable practices. Beyond the evident environmental merits, embracing sustainability bolsters brand reputation and fosters consumer loyalty,” Panicker continues.
“Moreover, stringent regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, such as the USA’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Clean Air Act, necessitate sustainable food production adaptations.”
Digitalization forward
Efficiency in production remains paramount, according to Panicker, “particularly given the sector’s rapid market growth, escalating energy costs and financial strains on consumers.”
“Streamlining production processes is pivotal to satisfying high demand, staying competitive and guaranteeing punctual product delivery.”
The need for flexibility in manufacturing is closely tied to the need for efficiency. “Given the shifting consumer preferences and the plethora of product types, the ability to produce and package a varied product range on a single line is vital,” says Panicker.
Furthermore, “the embrace of digitalization in the food industry is undeniable,” she emphasizes.
“The integration of smart technologies, such as augmented reality, virtual reality and remote assist tools, enhances efficiency, fosters resource savings and promotes connectivity. These innovations enable remote commissioning, training and servicing of equipment, optimizing processes and minimizing downtime.”
