Process Sensors Corp. and Europe Limited are manufacturers of instrumentation for critical quality parameters for the food sector; incorporated in 1996 in Boston, and with the Limited UK business starting in 2001 in Thame, but now based in Corby, Northamptonshire. In 2006 Process Sensors Poland was opened and together we support both direct applications engineers and distributors around the world.
Their advanced on-line NIR photometers are manufactured with production in the US and the UK, and have applications in a wide range of food business. Within the chocolate and confectionery industry, applications include on-line continuous measurement of moisture in moulding starch, wafer and biscuit moisture, as well as moisture and fat in chocolate crumb processing and particle size on refining rolls.
New product development has introduced the latest NIR model 460 Photometer and 466 high-temperature instrument where applications in hard hot applications and environments have to be accommodated. New to the product line up is the radio frequency technology. This unusual technology has been adapted for measurement of caramel, fudge, toffee, syrup and other products, which are otherwise very difficult to measure in the laboratory quickly or with our chemical titration techniques. This technology has also been adapted for on-line measurement applications in pipelines.
