The Matrics AR 400 reader is the first offering for this platform and is a true multi-protocol reader providing real-time, seamless tag processing for: EPC-compliant, Class 0 (Read-Only and Read/Write) tags EPC-compliant, Class 1 (Read/Write) tags The AR 400 is more than a typical RFID reader. It provides a rich feature set for tag and data collection management: Tag filtering, Reconciliation, User defined association, Selective visibility. It also provides timely and pertinent information to customers Network Management platform by real-time reporting of events and status using SNMP. The AR 400 is a ready-to-connect network element that provides a variety of options for connecting to customers corporate networks via Ethernet or Serial connections and wirelessly via 802.11 (future upgradeable). A configuration Setup Wizard makes commissioning tags extremely easy. The AR 400 provides industry-leading dynamic range with typical read ranges in excess of 25 feet. Matrics patented contention-free protocol additionally allows 1,000 tag/second read rates for Class 0 tags. To address security concerns, the AR 400 provides security, privilege controls and full traceability of all operator actions.
