Sanner Introduces the First Two-Component Mixing Cap
The clever part is to mix two different ingredients just before consumption to obtain the desired effect or to mix-in an additive.
5/26/2011 --- Mixing sensitive substances requires timing as well as precision. Or else a functional closure doing your customers a good turn by facilitating handling.
If two substances are to be mixed just before use, the packaging solution must be both consumer-friendly and forward-thinking, such as a smart functional closure with a mixing function.
The Powercap functional closure is suitable for both medicament use and for beverages. The clever part is to mix two different ingredients just before consumption to obtain the desired effect or to mix-in an additive.
The solution functions as follows: Within the cap, there is a reservoir containing a powder or liquid. A rotating mechanism opens the reservoir to let the powder or liquid enter the bottle.
The Powercap is particularly suited for sensitive substances that may only be mixed straight before consumption or for beverages that the consumer, at the "point of use", shall enhance with additives such as vitamins, flavoring agents, sweeteners or colorants.
Unlike other closures featuring a mixing function, Powercap does not use an aluminium foil seal helping to save material and cost.
