Schottli Presents Injection Moulds with an Impressive Output
Schottli is constantly advancing the mould output rate by increasing the number of cavities both for single-face and stack moulds with up to 192+192 cavities.
4/7/2011 --- Schottli AG of Diessenhofen/ Switzerland will demonstrate its competence as trendsetter and market leader for complex high-performance moulds. The renowned mould engineering specialist will present its range of moulds for maximum output rates for customers from the packaging and medical technology segment. The outstanding efficiency of these moulds is enhanced with their optimized product design, substantial material savings, maximum availability and increasingly shorter cycle times. Schottli will show its products together with s-mouldtech (Suzhou Mould Technology Co., Ltd.), its affiliated company, at stand E41 in hall 3.2. A Schottli 32-cavity mould will also be demonstrated in action on an injection moulding machine presented by Engel at stand J41, hall 4.1.
High output rate, maximum repeatability and impressive dimensional stability of moulded components are the core characteris-tics of Schottli injection moulds. Schottli has been specializing in developing and engineering high-performance injection moulds for the production of medical parts, caps, clo-sures and thin-wall packaging parts. Schottli is constantly advancing the mould output rate by increasing the number of cavities both for single-face and stack moulds with up to 192+192 cavities.
High-speed moulds for packaging, caps and closures
Schottli’s core competence focuses on engineering precise and highly stable high-performance moulds for high-speed ap-plications such as standard as well as customized caps and closures and spouting systems. Schottli also specializes in engineering high-speed moulds for the production of thin-wall parts such as cups and lids – even with in-mould labelling (IML).
High-performance moulds for disposable medical parts
Schottli moulds for medical and laboratory parts are suitable for clean-room production, display an extraordinary level of stability and have been impressing customers for decades with their longer-than-average service life. Syringes, laboratory articles such as petri dishes and pipettes or medical components such as infusion and transfusion kits manufactured with Schottli moulds are finished premium-quality products that meet all medical requirements. The company’s own hot-runner system and side gating system allow a very compact mould design and a high number of cavities in a confined area.
Schottli shows a current example of the high performance level of its moulds: a Schottli 32-cavity mould for the produc-tion of a 2-ml syringe barrel is running at the Engel Machinery (Shanghai) stand. The tiebarless injection moulding machine Engel victory tech VC 1050/160 produces syringe barrels made from polypropylene (PP) with a cycle time of 7.5 seconds.
International presence with regional service
Minimum maintenance requirements distinguish all Schottli high-performance moulds. In order to provide a fast and reliable after-sales service, Schottli operates service teams at the company’s headquarters in Switzerland, at its affiliated compa-nies of Magor Mold in the US and at s-mouldtech in China.
