Sirane Southern Africa Opens New Office and Warehousing
12 Aug 2013 --- SIRANE Southern Africa’s spectacular growth has continued with the opening of offices and warehousing less than 12 months after beginning trading in the region.
Simon Balderson, Sirane managing director, said: “I am pleased to confirm the opening of our new warehouse and offices in Cape Town, South Africa. This is the latest step for Sirane as we expand our business around the world and it will strengthen our presence in this market as well as in other countries in Southern Africa.The warehouse has sufficient space to several container loads of products shipped from Sirane UK and it will help us provide great service to our South African customers. We are considering the installation of manufacturing equipment in the future.”
Sirane is an innovative packaging design, development, manufacture and solutions company which specialises in areas including absorbency and ovenable/microwaveable products, compostable packaging, films, boards, pads, and much more.
Key international markets for Sirane include packaging for fruit and vegetables, meat and seafood. Other growing markets include over-the-counter cooking bags.
The company now has offices in the UK, Turkey, the Middle East and South Africa.
Sirane Southern Africa is headed up by Stacey Loader. “Business is booming in South Africa”, she said, “and so the office and warehousing was the obvious next step for us here. Things are happening even faster than we dared hope, and storage became necessary. We’ll be exhibiting at IFEA in Johannesburg in September and are looking forward to bringing Sirane’s innovative solutions to new markets across the African continent. The inaugural IFEA – Africa’s international food and drink event - takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa from September 18th – 20th.
