Sleever shows off the best in bottled water packaging
Bottled water manufacturers are increasingly turning to sleeves to give their packaging the best possible combination of functionality and eye appeal.
15/01/06 - Bottled water manufacturers are increasingly turning to sleeves to give their packaging the best possible combination of functionality and eye appeal. Sleever International, the leading provider of sleeving solutions globally, has responded with innovative new materials designed specifically to meet their needs, like the new OPS High Gloss sleeve Sleever International has developed for the premium mineral water brand Icelandic.
At two major exhibitions in France, Sleever International’s ‘Water Bar’ gave visitors a chance to see the latest in packaging, while tasting, and giving their verdict on, the water.
"More and more companies in the bottled water market are turning to us for a sleeving solution which really makes the product stand out," says Eric Masson, Sleever International’s European Sales Director. "They know that the sleeves we provide take best advantage of the transparency of the bottle, that a high-quality of printing can be achieved thanks to photogravure, which allows printing in silver for example, and that the whole bottle can be covered so that a much more elaborate and striking design can be achieved."
Sleever International attended the Luxe Pack luxury goods and packaging exhibition in Monaco and the Heavent exhibition, the trade fair of everything exceptional, in Paris, with the new Water Bar, all part of an innovative display designed to show the company’s success in bottled water packaging.
The waters available at the Water Bar included Icelandic Water, for which Sleever International is using a new high grade of film, SI-OPS / TH 050, which makes very high clarity possible. It has a translucent label with a striking metallic silver logo.
Solan de Cabras from Spain, uses a Sleevercap® designed for optimal anti-tampering performance while being quick and easy to open.
Levissima, a product of Nestlé Waters from Italy, has a bottle in the shape of a gourd designed for consumption on the go by children aged between four and ten. The sleeve has a protective and an aesthetic role, with photogravure printing which enables the bottler to keep to a precise design.
Voss from Norway is a top of the range water which uses a sleeve covering the entire surface of the bottle and a Sleevercap®. It gives it a large transparent surface and makes it completely resistant to tampering.
Also available at the Water Bar was Badoit, in a collectors’ edition one-off design produced at the end of 2005, using a glass bottle, covered with a Seeldrink® which covers the entire bottle and makes a minutely detailed, silver printed design possible.
