Twinings has announced a £10m packaging re-launch across its range of fruit, herbal and green teas. The company said the new designs will take consumers on a “voyage of discovery” by bringing each blend’s ingredients to life through a series of illustrations.

The company said the new designs will take consumers on a “voyage of discovery” by bringing each blend’s ingredients to life through a series of illustrations. It said new colour coding would also help consumers to navigate the range on-shelf, with yellow and green colour-blocking for the infusions and green blends. A click-lock lid has also been designed to allow easy opening, while a foil interior will keep the individually-packed tea bags fresher for longer.
Vicky Keenan, head of brand, said: “Twinings spearheaded the revolution in infusions and green teas, and we want our packaging to reflect our commitment to the enjoyable wellbeing promoted by our tea.” “Twinings has been listening to consumer needs for centuries, and we can use your feedback to lead big change in the herbal, fruit and green tea categories.” Paul Taylor, executive creative director at brand design specialists BrandOpus said: “The unique illustrations convey the individual and different experiences of the blends from one pack to the next, whilst also helping to create a bright and distinct destination on shelf.”
