A versatile container lid providing consumers with easy-opening convenience and resealability for metal cans or glass jars, the Dot Top™ can end has applications in the processed food industry. It is compatible with products that are hot-filled, closed with a mechanical vacuum or retorted with overriding pressure. Consumers simply peel back a small, plastic dimple in the center of the lid to release the vacuum that holds the lid in place. The lid then snaps back in place if the consumer doesn't use all of the product.
