The Swedish producer of cat and dog food, Doggy AB, is launching a new wet cat food under the brand name Mjau, in a smart carton package. In cooperation with Tetra Pak, Doggy AB is introducing the Tetra Recart package on the Swedish market. With a view to expanding its business, Doggy AB is preparing to meet future needs by recruiting more people and applying for permission to raise production by 30%. Doggy AB is launching a new concept for cat food, based on genuine Swedish high quality ingredients like perch, crayfish and haddock. Six new Mjau products, chunks in jelly in 400 ml volumes weighing 380 grammes, are being offered to pet owners in a smart new package from Tetra Pak. Consumer tests clearly show the new package offers strong advantages both for the consumers and the environment. Consumers get a lightweight package that’s easy to carry home, and one that requires neither a tin opener nor scissors for opening. Tetra Recart is easy to pour from and easy to reseal. Once empty, it takes little space in the bin and can be disposed of in existing waste recycling systems for carton packaging. From the retailers’ and distributors’ point of view, Mjau in Tetra Recart implies a number of other important benefits: 30% - 40% more economical use of shelf place and an unrivalled handling efficiency.
