Innovations in sealed packaging

Sealpac highlighted a number of new innovations, including the roll-out of their Flatskin packaging on new machines. Veenstra tells WorldPackagingOnline how Flatskin is a common skin packaging system which, when compared to a typical skintray, can save 75 percent in plastic. Taking into account that retailers such as Iceland in the UK want to reduce the amount of plastics in their stores, this is one of the ways to achieve that. Beyond packaging meat, the flatskin works with fish, cheese, soft cheese and poultry. Veenstra also details other packaging options they are offering that can be personalized and are tailored to the customer's needs
