A new series of faster and easier maintenance label printers has been launched by SATO UK

Machines in the GT400e Series are said to be robust, heavy duty machines designed to withstand daily use in busy commercial and industrial environments. New software means they can be integrated in to existing computer systems and can replace other makes and types of printer without the usual need for extensive reprogramming, claimed SATO. The GT400e sets new standards in data processing speeds (the time it takes the printer to receive the input information), as well as in print speeds.

The GT400e sets new standards in data processing speeds (the time it takes the printer to receive the input information), as well as in print speeds. There are three basic models for direct thermal and thermal transfer printing at 203 dots per inch (dpi) with the GT408e, 305dpi with the GT412e and the GT424e is claimed to perform at 609dpi. The GT408e and GT412e are said to print at up to 300mm per second, making the GT412e one of the fastest in its class on the market, said SATO. The GT424e produces what is described as ultra high-quality quality labels at up to 150mm per second.
