Alice White Wines Introduces Tetra Pak Cartons for Three Award Winning Varietals
Wine in these light-weight, non-glass cartons is easily re-sealable and shatterproof, making Alice White in a Tetra Pak carton extremely versatile and perfect for any occasion in or out of the home.
14/05/09 It is time to think outside the bottle, and coincidentally, inside the pak. Alice White, one of the United States' leading Australian wine brands known for its quality and colorful labels, is introducing three of its award winning varietals - Chardonnay, Lexia and Shiraz - in 500 milliliter Tetra Pak cartons. The wines are available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
In today's market, consumers are seeking quality wines at affordable prices making alternative packaging options like Tetra Pak cartons attractive. According to a recent study, nearly half (45 percent) of respondents have never seen wine in a Tetra Pak carton before, but almost half of them (48 percent) would be willing to try it.
"Alice White will be introducing consumers to a new concept that redefines how wine can be consumed, shared and enjoyed," said Jo Andrews, Alice White Brand Manager. "In the last year, wine in Tetra Pak cartons has grown almost 50 percent in volume sales. We saw an amazing opportunity to extend our core wines into Tetra Pak cartons to meet the needs of todays' consumers seeking quality and value as well as convenience with less waste for the environment."
Lifestyle Redefined
Wine in these light-weight, non-glass cartons is easily re-sealable and shatterproof, making Alice White in a Tetra Pak carton extremely versatile and perfect for any occasion in or out of the home. While the vibrant labeling has always made Alice White a staple for parties, dinners and date nights, now it is even easier to toss the wine in a basket or backpack for a barbecue, a day at the beach or a picnic in the park.
Appropriately, these new containers are available at the beginning of Spring when people are taking their activities outdoors and thinking green. According to Tetra Pak, on average, 70 percent of a Tetra Pak carton is made from renewable resource paper. Additionally, cartons use less material, requiring 35-40 percent less trucks to transport the same volume of wine, reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
New Look, Same Great Wines
Even with the makeover, Alice White still offers the same delicious wines sourced from a selection of vineyard sites across South Eastern Australia, one of Australia's best known growing areas. The Chardonnay, Shiraz and Lexia - an Alice White exclusive produced from Moscato grapes - are fruit-forward and approachable wines that have received numerous awards and praise from critics across the country.
