Adding to their current woes Nestle Group German Subsidiary Powerbar Europe has recently launched the premium sports drink Powerbar Hydro Plus packaged in Amcor PET aseptically filled Am Guard multi-layer PET. The 75cl bottle features a dimpled area for enhanced grip and an embossed logo at the head of the container but as Amcor’s German sales director calmly points out it’s the combination of the PET polymer’s inherent properties that bodes ill for future of competing formats.
