Aptar Beauty provides PZ Twist spray pump to Nuxe for improved suncare packaging

31 Jul 2023 --- Aptar Beauty is supplying French cosmetics brand Nuxe with its PZ Twist spray pump packaging for sun cream and other skin care products. PZ Twist features Aptar Beauty’s high-end PZ engine, which offers “exceptional spray performance,” even with complex and demanding formulations like Nuxe’s sun care range.

Nuxe’s Huile Solaire Bronzante SPF10, SPF30 and SPF50 and Spray Solaire Délicieux SPF30 and SPF50 were launched at the start of the year in Europe, Asia and South America.

Each formula is non-toxic for the marine environment. Nuxe says the new pump’s locking and unlocking system is designed to help reduce waste and eliminate the risk of losing a cap.

Made primarily of PP and polyoxymethylene-free, the bottle is paired with Nuxe’s new PET bottle.

“We designed it precisely for this demand: fewer parts and suitable for omnichannel sales. Our innovation team successfully integrated the twist-to-lock technology into the PZ range.”

Consumer ease
The product design is ergonomic, and consumers can lock and unlock the pump by twisting the actuator. Designed with a large, comfortable fingerpad with a soft-touch effect, the pump’s usage is convenient and hygienic, according to the company.

An audible click also ensures the pump is closed correctly to avoid leakage – a feature Nuxe says guarantees its e-commerce capability. PZ Twist is certified by Amazon ISTA-6, a standardization test that addresses the risks of damage throughout the supply chain.

For a more hygienic solution, PZ Twist is also available with options such as anti-slippery ribs and a protective shield.

Last year, Dermala launched a body spray dubbed Baby Got Bacne that banishes body breakouts in hard-to-reach areas like the chest, shoulders and back.

Baby Got Bacne body spray was incorporated into the Dermala personalization platform – a digital engagement tool that customers can use to receive individual recommendations for a suitable combination of topical and ingestible products and product formulations for both face and body acne.
