Bosch launches Pentad 26 vertical packaging machine at Packaging Show 2011
Bosch Packaging Technology has launched the new Pentad 26 vertical packaging machine at the India Packaging Show 2011 being held till Dec 10, 2011. Adding yet another significant offering to its already robust portfolio, the new machine will cater to the snacks, powders, confectionery and pet food industries’ packaging requirements.

Apart from better efficiency and packaging quality, the product also offers user-friendly operation through lower complexity, less disassembly and assembly time for maintenance. Tool-less adjustment of belts and early film ending warning to the operator also contribute significantly to ease of use. A user-friendly Human Machine Interface (HMI) ensures easier diagnostics and device integration.
Commenting on the occasion, Friedbert Klefenz, president, Bosch Packaging Technology, said, “The Indian packaging market is evolving. The Pentad 26, for instance, has been developed by Bosch engineers in India, China and Brazil and is in particular designed for packaging needs of emerging markets.”
Further, aspects like lesser film wastage, lower air consumption and lower downtime due to quick change over provide the product with superior cost efficiency. It also offers easy maintenance on account of open frame accessibility, simplicity of design and fewer parts.
On the same occasion, the company also gave a preview of the Belt weigher FBW4021B, which offers high output and accuracy. Its compact design gives accessibility for easy maintenance and enables the user to mount it on any basic machine. It allows for easy change over by parameter settings in the HMI and tool- less removal of belts for cleaning.
Sharing his views on the preview of the FBW4021B, Eberhard Weiss, VP, technical, Bosch Packaging Technology, “The FBW4021B will help us focus on the grains market. This product will also help expand the doser portfolio for Bosch in India. The packaging industry in India is showing great promise. We intend to contribute to this growth by bringing world-class Bosch packaging technology to India.”
