4/25/2011 --- Boulder Canyon Natural Foods an Inventure Foods company will introduce a single-serve compostable package as the nation celebrates Earth Day. The new 2-ounce compostable bag is available with a suggested retail price of $1.29 per package in Boulder Canyon's Totally Natural kettle chip variety.

The Boulder Canyon compostable packaging is made from wood pulp sourced from plantations that have Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) or similar certification. These materials are certified to meet the "Specification for Compostable Plastics" standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials. The bags can be composted in home or industrial composters, recycled through approved organic recycling programs, or incinerated at modern incineration plants.
