The SL6000 intermittent motion, fully automatic, end load cartoner offers far higher levels of speed up to 100 cartons per minute and greater flexibility than mechanical indexing machines. The SL6000 combines advanced electronic motion control and a PC touch screen operator interface with proven rugged engineering construction. The machine continuously erects end load cartons from an inclined magazine. They are then extracted from it by means of vacuum cups on the rotary feeder at a signal given by the product as it passes a sensor on the infeed conveyor. The cartons are then erected into the flight chains. The product, which has been automatically or manually placed into the pockets of the product infeed conveyor is then inserted into the open end of the carton by the servo driven product inserter. After filling the carton is closed using hot melt adhesive and it exits the machine with the assistance of powered outfeed belts.
