CEM was at the show to demonstrate its new MEAT Trac system, a high-performance fat and moisture analyser, which the company claims provides a more accurate and cost-effective alternative to NIR technology.
A low-cost alternative to near infrared (NIR) analysis systems was on display at the AMI Expo in Dallas recently.
CEM was at the show to demonstrate its new MEAT Trac system, a high-performance fat and moisture analyser, which the company claims provides a more accurate and cost-effective alternative to NIR technology.
The equipment has been remodelled from the company’s SMART Trac system, specifically to target the meat industry with a stripped-down lower resolution version of the system at a reduced cost. The company said the system offers benefits over NIR equipment, being easy to use, requiring far less calibration and providing more accurate readings.
In a statement, the company said: “MEAT Trac quickly provides accurate fat and moisture determinations to help you fully optimise your process, saving time and money by reducing or eliminating out of specification product.”
