CODING solutions provider Domino, of Cambridge, is strengthening its position in the outer case coding market with the introduction of a new range designed for total reliability, improved print quality and flexibility. Dubbed the Domino C-Series outer case coding system, the equipment is said to be suitable for everything from basic large character applications to sophisticated networking solutions. A high definition printer at the top of the range, using pigmented oil-based inks, produces real-time, variable data, multiple line text, on-line graphics and all major barcodes onto porous outer cases. The technology also offers networking solutions, allowing centralised control of factory-wide coding, integrated into the production process. High quality but low cost printing is offered via the C-Series valve jet printer which uses water-based inks. This version is capable of line speeds up to 35 metres/minute, producing text from 10 to 68mm high. Other features of the range include international language capabilities and a large memory.
