Cyclero Flexible Packaging for Coffee Pads and Soft Drinks

29/11/2007 In the beverage category, two applications of Huhtamaki's Cyclero flexible packaging were awarded with the WorldStar 2007 awards. Cyclero for Amaroy Coffee Pads is an easy open and re-close circular container for coffee which prevents the pads from squashing or folding and has an optimal aroma protection. Amaroy Coffee Pads is packed by Aldi Süd, one of the world's largest discount retailers.

The other awarded Cyclero application is Drinkbax for non-carbonated soft drinks manufactured for Jung Bonbonfabrik. Drinkbax is the first beverage application on the flexible packaging market. The lightweight packaging is easy to carry and dispose of and it has an outstanding life cycle analysis performance. It has high barrier properties and therefore provides optimal product protection combined with minimum material input. The product can be pasteurized or sterilized to guarantee a long shelf life.

Cyclero has been developed in Ronsberg, Germany, a Center of Competence in the Huhtamaki Group.
