Faerch Plast Ltd Moves Back Into UK Meat Market

Already holding more than 60% of the UK ready-meal market, Faerch Plast Ltd is now refocusing on the meat and poultry industry with a range of high-quality trays and containers.

30 Aug 2009 --- These include packs produced from the revolutionary Mono Amorphous PET (Mapet) and recently launched High Clarity Polypropylene (PP).

Packs made from these latest cutting-edge materials have been specifically developed by Faerch Plast to provide greater transparency, protection, hygiene, brand appeal and uniformity, while offering increased environmental benefits. Clever tray design allows more products to be displayed on shelf and occupy less space in storage and transit.

Faerch Plast’s Mapet range has been designed for modified atmosphere (Map) pre-packed meat to ensure that, despite meat juice contamination, a good seal is achieved and maintained from packing to consumer use.

A huge amount of development work was done with lidding films and the top layer of the trays to ensure they seal as well as traditional meat packs with a PE layer.
