Fischbein-Saxon #Hot Air# Sealers
The Saxon 5 continuous heat sealer features a hot-air sealing method that is said to eliminate sealing bands while simplifying maintenance and product changeovers. Employing PID temperature control technology, the noncontact hot-air system sets the temperature to suit the gauge of bags being sealed.
The Saxon 5 continuous heat sealer features a hot-air sealing method that is said to eliminate sealing bands while simplifying maintenance and product changeovers. Employing PID temperature control technology, the noncontact hot-air system sets the temperature to suit the gauge of bags being sealed. Filled bags arrive on a conveyor, and the open mouth of the bag is guided into the infeed section. There it is gripped and supported by continuously moving rubber belts. The bag then passes through opposed streams of hot air, creating a semi-molten band of plastic that immediately passes between the pressure rollers, completing the seal. The system has a powder-coated finish, and its electrics are housed separately, allowing it to withstand dusty or damp environments. All working parts are fully accessible to reduce maintenance requirements. Other features include a movable sealing head, an easy-lift column for height adjustments and a deep throat that allows up to 4.3 in. of bag above the seal. The unit is available mechanically integrated, or as a conveyor model, or it can be incorporated into a product conveyor system as a freestanding unit.
