H&M Designs New Honeycomb Puffs
The back and sides of the pack continue this humorous and eye-catching theme, with fun graphics such as the Honey Monster’s eyes looking out from the bottom of the box.
2/1/2011 --- Holmes & Marchant has designed the newest limited edition cereal in the Sugar Puffs range – Honeycomb Puffs – which appears on shelf this week.
Honeycomb Puffs combine the well-loved Sugar Puffs cereal with pieces of crunchy honeycomb. The pack plays on the ‘honey’ theme with a vibrant yellow and black striped background and cartoon bees flying around Honey Monster as he eats a vibrant blue bowl of the cereal.
The rest of the pack continue this humorous and eye-catching theme, and the back of the box is crammed with facts and trivia about bees, funny jokes and instructions showing kids how to draw Honey Monster.
Whilst these child-friendly design elements look great it is also necessary to have all the information that mums need to decide what’s best for their kids. The GDAs are highlighted in red on the front of the pack and the design also contains flashes detailing that the product is a limited edition and contains only natural ingredients.
“Limited editions have worked incredibly well for us over the last two years, adding fun and excitement to a fairly static category,” said John Price at HM Foods. “We’ve enjoyed great success with Banana Puffs, Choco Puffs and the Halloween themed Spooky Puffs and we’re hoping Honeycomb Puffs can be every bit as popular.”
Hayley Laven, account director at Holmes & Marchant, added, “With special editions for HM Foods, we have to work really hard to make sure that the packs stand out, as this is the key to their continued success. We’ve played with the core colour palette of red, blue and yellow and used bold stripes to make the pack unique to the cereal aisle.”
