These revolutionary coatings are applied through conventional liquid coating methods to the bottle exterior. Bairocade coatings imparts physical toughness and humidity resistance with a pleasing clear or colored, glossy finish. Bairocade coatings can be easily removed with standard aqueous stripping agents, so the container can be recycled.

Applying one of these external coatings to a PET container can greatly extend the shelf life of beer, carbonated beverages and food products!

In the past, beer bottlers were limited to glass or can packaging because the shelf life in standard plastic bottles is reduced by CO2 loss and reaction of O2 with beer.

The reaction of O2 with beer affects beer flavor which is a difficult item to measure and left plastic bottling a risk.

Bairocade coatings, which greatly reduces the amount of O2 ingress through bottle walls is the key to extending the shelf life of beer packaged in plastic bottles.
