Loma Systems says it has taken its biggest ever stand at Interpack 2005, currently running in Dusseldorf, Germany, to showcase its portfolio of end-of-line inspection equipment, including IQ 2 metal detectors, AS checkweighers and its range of x-ray systems
A significant upgrade will be unveiled to Loma’s X 3 x-ray system, which the company says will further enhance the user-friendly controls with a touch screen interface and a superior operating platform. The innovation means that commands can be displayed in multiple languages and the Windows XP software enables operators to change settings at the touch of a button.
Its ‘Explorer’ feature is aimed at non-uniform products, as it allows detailed analysis of contaminants that would not be picked up by conventional systems. The new X 3 can also be fully networked with other production line equipment to allow Operations Managers to access real-time information and up-to-the minute status reports. The company’s ‘Celsius’ temperature measurement system will also be a focal point of the stand, building on its high-profile launch to the European market in 2004 and successful trials with Marks & Spencer. To highlight its inspection systems, Loma will also be previewing its ‘Select Products’ range, which provides off the shelf solutions for companies wishing to source standard equipment within shorter lead times.
