Naturipe Farms new Organic Blueberry Compostable Packaging has been named as a finalist for the Produce Marketing Association’s 2014 Impact Awards. Launched this summer, the 6 oz., natural fiber tray is home compostable, recyclable and sealed in a breathable flow-wrap film. This innovative pack protects the blueberries and creates a differentiated presentation at retail, while deeply aligning with the values of the organic consumer. “The 100% compostable material as the package base creates an emotional connection for the organic consumer as it speaks to their desire for authenticity and ‘good feeling’ about their purchases.” said Janis McIntosh, Marketing Manager, Naturipe Farms. The new compostable packaging aligns with Naturipe’s “Cultivate with Care” program and overall mission to reduce, reuse, recycle and rethink.
