New AirPouch FastWrap Delivers Bubblewrap and Tubes On-Demand

18 April 2012 --- Automated Packaging Systems introduces the new AirPouch FastWrap, the industry’s most flexible, reliable and user-friendly on-demand packaging system. FastWrap secures and cushions products while in transit, producing filled bubbles and block-and-brace tubes on demand.

AirPouch FastWrap is a portable tabletop all-electric system that is easy to set-up, simple to operate and perfect for high protective packaging productivity, allowing users to reduce shipping costs and increase customer satisfaction.  At the touch of a button FastWrap is capable of producing up to 19 metres a minute of packaging materials without the need for compressed air. Voidfill systems from AirPouch have a reputation for reliability and an excellent service record, requiring minimal maintenance. The intelligent design consistently manages heat, air and speed; producing high quality seals from start to stop.

AirPouch FastWrap uses knifeless technology; there’s no cutting system to blunt and therefore no need for replacements.  Materials are fed from a high-yield box and operate in automatic or intermittent modes – one box of FastWrap generates more than 422 metres of protective packaging.

AirPouch FastWrap cushioning bubbles feature a patent-pending, channel filled honeycomb for multidirectional wrapping and improved product protection.  The same system can switch to produce block-and-brace tubes.  It’s unique EZ-Tear Perforations make tubes easier to separate, reducing waste and operator stress.

System matched film types are available including Automated Packaging Systems acclaimed EarthAware Biodegradable and Recycled films.

Unfilled FastWrap materials are compact and easy to handle, dramatically reducing storage requirements in comparison with void fills such as foam or pre-filled bundle bubblewrap.
